Carmen Guevara Villalobos is the heart and driving force behind the Mentorship Program at Latinas 413. A proud first-generation college graduate from Smith College, where she studied Psychology and Statistical Sciences, Carmen brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to her work with Latinas in Berkshire County. Having moved to Massachusetts at the age of sixteen from El Salvador, she understands the challenges and opportunities that come with being an immigrant and navigating the educational system. Carmen is currently pursuing her law degree, further expanding her expertise to advocate for marginalized communities.
Previously, Carmen worked as an advocate for the Berkshire DA's Office in the Child Abuse and Human Trafficking Unit, making a profound impact in her community. Her journey is rooted in personal experience, which fuels her commitment to help others, especially Latinas, reach their potential. Carmen’s role as a mentor extends beyond offering guidance—she aims to empower mentees with the confidence, resources, and community support needed for their personal and professional growth.
